The book Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine served as the inspiration for the American horror anthology series American Horror Story’s twelfth season, dubbed Delicate. Development of American horror story

American Horror Story received a 13th season extension on January 9, 2020. It will be the first season in the history of the show to not have Murphy as show runner and to heavily depend on source material, according to the actor and the series’ co-creator, who announced on April 10, 2023 that Halley Feiffer would serve as the season’s show runner and that it would be based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming book Delicate Condition.
